Anonymous asked: Hello kitty :) First i will say you are an incredible writer and i was glad that someone like you took after the whole DamiSteph because i just shipped them so hard and now i ship them more hard! Well i was just here for asking you about Rosie and Gideon because i just really want to draw them if you ar eok with that and since my internet is not so well today you have some links to descriptions of them, so i can found them quicly and start the job? Keep being awesome -Love, Mari
Goodness! Well, nobody has drawn Rosie and Gideon yet, but I would absolutely love it if you did. Fanart is absolutely delightful, always. It’s a very special feeling when I’ve managed to write or say something that inspires other people to be creative. As far as descriptions of them go, Gideon is physically Damian minus ten years. When he gets older, Jason encourages him to try to express individuality—-which probably means a fauxhawk, because you know how I feel about Waynes and fauxhawks. Rosie takes after Harley, but she has a bit of Jason’s stubborn curl in her hair. Her hair darkens when she gets older, but she keeps it dyed blonde. Since I haven’t done much with them, I haven’t really fleshed out their descriptions much—-have fun with it!
Anonymous asked: I don't think you can ever understand how much I need some Rosie/Gideon. Any chance I could get some of your brilliant headcanon on them? I'd really like to know how they have a relationship amidst all the crazy and how they fight aside each other. I'm also really intrigued by the idea of Gideon's autism, my experience would lead me to think that he might be in need of reassurance and even crave physical contact- although I am truly aware of how it can differ. Lots of love from a very big fan xx
Ahaha, I love that people enjoy my silly OCs so much. It helps me feel a little less guilty about indulging in fandom sins. I’ve touched on some aspects of how Gideon interacts with the idea of a companion—-and his place within the fam—-here, here, and here. Gideon both craves contact and shies away from it, so Rosie’s no-nonsense attitude and complete lack of fear or intimidation is incredibly important to him. Rosie don’t give a shit. Jason didn’t raise her to tolerate anyone’s BS, so Gideon was cautiously fascinated by this weak, noodle-limbed little girl that bossed him around. Jason made it very clear to Gideon that watching over Rosie was his responsibility, and he took that charge seriously. So Gideon pretty much follows Rosie around like a very big, very angry duckling. She takes good care of him.
Anonymous asked: hey can you make ari and leo wayne disney enthusiasts like their mom? like when they're little and they refuse to watch anything but the little mermaid and snow white and damian's just like "NO BOYS. NO MORE PRINCESSES. LOVE MONSTER TRUCKS!!!" and they're just like "Tt. No way." and he's like ";A; Laila, you are my only Batheir."
Leo and Ari are the little trolls that Damian was not mentally or emotionally prepared to have. Laila was an easy kid. She’s quiet, self-entertained, and restrained. Leo and Ari, though. Those two. They are screaming little monsters full of energy and quips. Laila waited for Dick to officially nominate her as Robin and pass the mantle to her on her tenth birthday, but Leo and Ari let their dear old dad know that they were ready to join the Crusade by showing up for breakfast with the family wearing matching scaly green shorts and shiteating grins.
Everyone went dead silent. Damian pushed his chair back and left the room without a word. As soon as he was out of earshot, Steph and Dick laughed until they cried. It took Damian a while to acclimate to his sons being as bewildering to him as his partner(s), but Laila just patted his arm and told him that it’s okay, Father—-she’ll take over the company and mercilessly crush everyone and make him proud.
(He blames the twins’ love of Disney princesses on Dick. None of this would have happened if his twice-damned brother wasn’t a Disney princess himself.)
