Thank you! That really is high praise, because making a character dynamic and interesting to readers that may not give a shit about them is THE goal with writing. I’m glad that I managed to succeed, at least by your estimation.
That h8er anon’s comment hit me as funny, honestly, because I don’t expect everyone to ship the things that I do or read the stuff I write. I’m extremely aware of the fact that 90% of the things that I ship are rarepairs, crack pairings, or ships that make most people sigh, shake their head, and walk away. I write the stuff that I want to write. If people enjoy it, that’s great, but I’m not here to seek validation from absolutely everyone in the room. It’s okay if people judge me for my ships. Frankly, I judge myself. I only use the character name tags when I’m posting fic (or longwinded gen-ish headcanon), so it’s not like I’m flooding the tags with everything that I do. IDK. I’m not trying to ruin fandom for anyone???
Anywho. The Dick/Steph fic was a commission, but I have a half-finished follow-up to it (where Steph becomes Nightwing—-go figure) sitting in my WIP folder. I may return to it eventually, when I’ve whittled down my commission list some and have more me-time on my hands.
