I didn’t plan to write anything more in that ‘verse, but…it keeps nagging at me. I guess a part of me really wants to know HOW that brunch with Bruce and Alfred will go. And Jason’s recovery is going to be rocky as hell, so there’s this great potential for Dick caring for him, and Jay snarking and snarling and loving him for it. Jason mentoring a whole bunch of little girls is also an amazing thought—-he’ll end up with this team of middle school basketball players who give zero fucks, win aggressively, and start standing up for themselves in other aspects of their lives. And TIMMY. Tiny Stalker!Tim meeting Jason and trying to fanboy at him! And Jason feeling threatened by how close Dick and Tim are! And Jason feeling the need to drag Dick off and go NO THIS IS MINE GO AWAY FIND YOUR OWN I WAS HERE FIRST AND YOU SMELL. These are all things that I want.
Also, Alfred totally knows why Dick asks for Jason to stay in the ‘Haven with him, from the very beginning. Dick was so frantic about cleaning up the broken furniture before Mom and Dad got there, he forgot to put on a shirt with a collar. Bruce may have been too preoccupied by JAAAAASOOOONNNNNN to notice all the hickies on Dick’s neck, but nothing gets past Alfie.
