Oh, god. I just had the most VIVID fandom-related dream. And it was the reboot. It was the Teen Titans—-which is weird, because I haven’t been keeping up with the title—-and it focused on Tim. Tim would get a phone call from someone around the same time every night, and he’d never tell them who it was. He’d just say that it didn’t matter, and to just drop it. Of course, the Teen Titans are like lol what is privacy, so they snooped until they figured it out—-every night, Tim’s girlfriend, Stephanie, called so that he could tell their daughter, Caroline “Carrie” Kelly Drake goodnight. And it is revealed that Tim is secretly a teen dad! And everyone was kind of shocked that he didn’t tell them. So basically, Steph’s time as Spoiler played out exactly the same when Tim was Robin—-except she kept the baby, and gave up being Spoiler. So she was never Robin, and she never died in the gang war that never happened, and she and Tim never broke up.
and when I woke up I was like
oh my god, Dedicated!Teen Dad!Tim is so much more likable and imperfect than current!Reboot!Tim. And this would fix Steph’s history to work with Tim’s! AND CARRIE KELLY WOULD EXIST IN MAIN CONTINUITY. AND SOMEDAY IN THE FUTURE SHE WILL BE THE NEXT ROBIN.
And now I’m just sitting here, half-asleep, pining that this amazing dream isn’t real canon. IT WAS SO VIVID. I just improved DCnU canon, literally in my sleep.
